Gobble up a nice Turkey
Thanksgiving was yesterday and now there are leftover food from that large meal. My post on Cornucopias covered one of the fun decorations that you could make and then eat. This time I will focus on Turkey since that seems to be the bird of the day. Today could be a second miniature Thanksgiving from those leftovers. The weather for Thanksgiving, here in Cheyenne, was perfect to enjoy the outdoors too.
Fun quick decorations
There are some things you can do to have some Turkeys flying around the table. Here are some simple activities that can be done to have turkey around for decorations.
- Hands on- Make a turkey using your hands and feet.
- Plate of turkey- A paper plate Turkey is handy to place on the kitchen counter or table, just remember this is a decoration.

- Quick fix- This turkey is easy to make and can be eaten afterwards.
How thanksgiving started
Thanksgiving started with the Pilgrims who traveled on the Mayflower. The natives helped them out so they had food to eat and then, after their first successful harvest, they decided to celebrate with a large meal.
